Victory Is Sweet...Even If I Wasn't There to Taste It.

When I saw the line for the USU vs BYU game at 8:00 yesterday morning I thought, "Crap, I gotta get in line right after my classes!" But when my classes ended I decided I needed to work out, then after I worked out I decided I needed to study, then take a nap, then take a shower and get ready...

My roommates and I got in line for the game at 6:00 pm

The game Started at 7:00 pm

People started lining up for this game 2 days ago...not kidding.

There was a line from the Spectrum all the way to the road by 8:00 that morning.

Did we get seats? Especially when competing with all these crazy fans?

No. :(

We tried to justify it by saying, "Oh, it was good exercise to walk up our huge hill in the 19 degree weather. And besides, this way we can watch the game from our nice warm couch at home..."

I still wish I would've been there to see the Aggies DOMINATE BYU. Bahaha

Moral of the story:

Victory is sweet, Aggie fans are die hard, and if I want a seat for the next game...I'm camping out!

Finals? PSH!

As finals week approaches (approximately 10 days), I naturally find my mind wandering to things other than studying. I should be getting ready for all of my tests, yet all of the sudden I have all the time in the world to shop, cook, go to movies, make cheese quesadillas for my little sister, and have sleepovers in the living room with my roommates. I’m not really complaining because all of these things have been great fun, but there is a little voice in my head telling me that I should really study…and here I am…blogging. Hmmmmm…

A couple weeks ago was USU’s Transfer Leadership Conference, otherwise known as TLC. It is an all day event put on by the amazing transfer ambassadors for students from other colleges and universities. A LOT of work went into it, and it was a huge success! We had leadership building workshops and activities, played games, did an amazing service project, and heard from the man who invented the color personality test, Dr. Taylor Hartman. Which brings me to my next point:

I was so ridiculously excited to hear from him you have no idea. I had my notepad and pen out the whole time taking notes. He is brilliant. If you haven’t taken the test, I urge you to do so at:

I also went to the New Moon Midnight movie premier! My thoughts….I am definitely team Edward, but Jacob is SO HOT in the movie. I couldn’t get enough of him. I loved New Moon 10 billion times more than Twilight and can’t wait for the next movie to come out in June!

I am currently enjoying a relaxing week off of school, work, and cold. That’s right, I am blogging from my home in Kanab Utah! Thanksgiving has been great, but details on that will come later. :) Much love blog world!

Playing House

Last weekend I went to Cedar City to babysit my sister's kids! Dustin and I got to play Mommy and Daddy and it was SO MUCH FUN! Check out this picture I snapped of Dustin and Gavin passed out on the couch. :)

It was so dang cute, they slept like this for almost three hours. Adorable? I think so. :)

I've Been Hit!

Thats right Ladies and Gentlemen, the foci (aka: my little blue focus) got slammed into last week by a mean old white buic.

Dear Buic,

What did the Foci ever do to you? She is just a nice little car who makes loud noises, but she means well. Now she needs a new car door and who knows what else! The foci was just making a left turn, why must you think you need to run into her like that and try and tell the police officer it wasn't your fault?

That was not very nice.

Plus you caused the owner of the foci A LOT of stress and headaches.

She had a lot to do that day but nooooo. The day was unprogressive because she had to talk to insurance people and policemen all day.

Thanks a lot Buic.

I hope you and your mean owner feel bad, because you should.

So Much to Blog, So Little Time

There is so much going on in my life right now that I don’t know what to blog about first! So I’ve decided to just condense it all into one post. This is my catch up post, and also a promise to be better in the future.

First: I LOVE MY ROOMMATES
I lucked out BIG TIME with these girls. I’m so amazed at how well we all get along. We’re all really different but somehow the same. Yes, I’m the only brunette and yes it is WEIRD being the minority! But I can’t complain because I wouldn’t trade them for the world! (L to R Kyndra, Hailey, Ali, Liz, Amanda)


Second: Amanda’s Wedding
That’s right; one of my roommates is already married! Congrats to Amanda and Bodie. Her wedding reception was seriously soooo much fun, and she was an extremely beautiful bride.

Third: Ambassadors
I am so thankful for this organization. It feels like I have a head start at this place because I am part of such an awesome group! I get to be surrounded by some of the most elite people at this University, and I get to talk about a place that I love. Do I feel inadequate? Sometimes. Overwhelmed? Most times. Extremely happy that I get to be a USU ambassador? ALL TIMES!


Fourth: The Boy
I Miss him…a lot, but considering the fact that we live on opposite ends of the state (about 400 miles) we actually get to see each other a lot! He gave me a BEAUTIFUL necklace and earrings a few weeks ago. Why? Just because! Normally I feel really weird getting gifts from boys but I swear he was more excited about it than I was so it made it worth it. It was the thought that counted…but jewelry never hurts ;)

Fifth: School
Is going great! At first I felt really out of my comfort zone because I have a class with more people than were in my entire high school (495 in the class…Yikes!), but now I’m really enjoying myself. The professors I have are phenomenal, I feel like I’m getting a more quality education than I have anywhere else, and I know I’m being pushed to do my very best. It’s harder than it was at Dixie, but if you know me, you know I like a challenge.

Sixth: Logan
I love love love love it here! It is so beautiful. I also really like how it feels like a small town but in all actuality, it isn’t. It has just about everything St George has, but it doesn’t feel as huge. I had no idea I loved fall so much, but I do. People on campus probably think I’m nuts because I stop every five seconds or so to snap some pictures with my phone. Here are some pictures I took. Pretty eh?

List of Things to Buy

Scarves: I know this may be a little surprising to some, but they are not just a fashion accessory, they have a purpose, and that purpose is to keep you warm.

Gloves: Warm contraptions which go over your hands and fingers to keep you warm. I don’t have any, why would I need them living in southern Utah my whole life? I discovered the necessity of gloves as I was walking 3 miles (no joke) to my 7:30 am class one morning and realized I couldn’t feel my hands.

Beanie/Hats: I dont know if this is a true statistic or not, but I heard somewhere that 10% of your body heat escapes through your head. Even though it isn't winter yet, I have already learned that I want to keep all my body heat to myself, so it looks like wearing hats all winter is a must.

Car Scraper: My Logan friends tell me that this devise will become my new best friend. Apparently it is used to scrape the snow and ice off my car. Who woulda thought!?

Boots: I have some boots, but I recently learned that these boots will get me nowhere on the Logan campus. They’re cute boots, but they have no fur and they have no traction. Apparently I need both of these to avoid slipping and falling.
